About Me

Encoded into the spiritual beliefs around the world are messages and stories of our ancestors long past. Each forms a link between us them, portraying ancient archetypes of the collective unconscious, lessons and stories that have guided humans throughout time.

My work revolves around the portrayal of various metaphysical and universal concepts that have influenced my thoughts. Of these, natural unity and interconnectivity are of particular significance to me. Each of these aspects is fundamental to human existence and gives us place and purpose. My work is influenced by Buddhist and Pagan values, which for me emphasise the balance of all things, living and otherwise.

The use of intricate patterns in my work represents the concept of ‘rien ne se crée, rien ne se perd, tout change’ (nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed). It is a reminder that everything is ever-changing and interconnected. At an atomic level we are all made of the same elements anyway; atoms placed together and reformed throughout our lives, to break apart entirely when we die and be reborn into many other things. Everything is transformed, but nothing is ever really lost.
